The Falklands are one of the best places to photograph birds around with five species of penguins, many species of song birds, water birds, and birds of prey, and all are approachable and easy to shoot. And we are going when there should be some chicks. For us it will be a quasi encore trip as we have stopped here on our way to Antarctica on our previous trips, making 2-3 shore landings each trip. This time we are going to spend 2 weeks ashore, spending 3 days at each landing site where previously we have spend 4-8 hours.
